Subject: GREAT SHOW
This is a definite soundboard recording. The sound guy is a little nob happy. Seems to be battling something w/ the board, whether it was the connections or maybe the weather at the time of the show. Still sounds amazing even w/ some flaws here and there. Many thanks to DG for allowing these recordings and trading. It takes some real balls and love of music to allow us to freely download. Ultimately its DG's decision, so thanks. This is a great show w/ great songs and great performance by DG. Get this show its great. Whats so great about the Archive is the possiblity of getting turned on to different shit all the time. I went to see DG in Nashvegas back in 2000 and was throughly impressed w/ his energy and musicianship, but was never a fan before and wasnt really one after. Why? B/c I only believe in listening to music live and I couldn't find any live DG records in the stores here in Nashville. Then one day at my first Martin Sexton show someone told me about the archive and my heaven was discovered. The search began. So many styles to list want bluegrass try search for Mutual Admiration Society, which is John Paul Jones, Nickel Creek, Glen Phillips and the drummer from Elvis Costello's band. Never knew shit like this existed, let alone approved by the artist themselves. How very cool. LOVE IT.
Peace and always spread the word.
